A true gentleman Connie Kalitta and known to many in professional drag racing as the ‘Bounty Hunter’ due to his skill and numerous drag racing accomplishments. Since the 1950’s, Connie has built Team Kalitta into one of the premier NHRA Championship Drag Racing teams of all-time.
In 1992 Connie was inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America and in 2002, Connie was inducted into the prestigious International Drag Racing Hall of Fame (HOF awards), which celebrates and honors the best-of-the-best in professional drag racing. In 2016 Connie was honored at the season-ending NHRA Mello Yello Awards Ceremony with the NHRA’s Lifetime Achievement Award. This was the first time in NHRA Championship Drag Racing history that this award has been handed out.
Connie’s son Scott Kalitta and Team Kalitta crew chief Jim O’ were especially fun to work with and discuss new Total Impact Wear apparel due to their dry sense of humor that would crack us up.
